The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially disclosed the release date for the 2024 WASSCE results.
In a press release dated 27th December 2024, WAEC stated that it had received additional funds from the Ministry of Education to complete the processing of the results.
The council revealed that on December 25, 2024, it received a cheque for GHC 35,000,000.00 from the Ministry of Education.
This funding, according to WAEC, will enable them to finalize the scanning of the objective answer cards and complete the processing of the results for the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2024.

Consequently, WAEC stated that it is working diligently to ensure that the results are released by the end of December.
WAEC appealed to the Ministry of Education to release the outstanding balance to cover various financial obligations, including payments to supervisors, invigilators, and suppliers of examination materials.
The council also took the opportunity to extend its best wishes to all stakeholders and assured them of its dedication to executing its mandate efficiently.

To check your 2024 WASSCE results, follow these steps:
Purchase an e-PIN: You can buy an e-PIN from WAEC by dialing the short code *899*550# on your mobile phone.
Visit the WAEC result checking portal: Go to the official WAEC result checker website. You can find it at https://ghana.waecdirect.org/
Enter your Index Number: This is your 7-digit center number followed by your 3-digit candidate number (e.g., 4123456789).
Select the Examination Type: Choose “WASSCE” from the options provided.

Select the Examination Year: Choose the year you took the exam (e.g., 2024).
Enter the Serial Number: This is the serial number found on your e-PIN voucher.
Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN): This is the 12-digit PIN on your e-PIN voucher.
Confirm your details: Re-enter your Index Number and Examination Year to ensure accuracy.
