Examinations are part of University life. And One cannot move from one level to other without an assessment.
It also behooves the University as emphasized in the Assessment and Results Policy to provide the necessary feedback to students after every assessment.
However, this is not so for students in Colleges of Education affiliated to the University of Education, Winneba.
Information gathered by Coleman Publications on Thursday, 29th December 2022 discloses trainees in these colleges are yet to receive their results for two end-of-semester examinations conducted by the University.
In a conversation with a ‘high profile’ regarding the delay in the release of the results, he asserted the earlier delay in releasing students’ results was attributed to the change of ‘Management’ by the Institute. (the institute is done with that). But as to what is still hindering the release of the results, he is yet to be told.
“With everything done, I thought the results would be in by now, but we haven’t received anything”, he told our representative.
It should be noted that the Institute For Teacher Education and Continuing Professional Development(ITECPD) is yet to issue a missive as to the cause of the delay in the release of the trainees’ results.
Nevertheless, the Institute has issued a timetable for trainees to prepare and write another end-of-semester examination in January 2023 to complete their 2021/2022 academic year.
In conclusion, trainees are to note their Academic Officers are yet to receive their end-of-semester results from their affiliate University.
