Since the release of the 2024 WASSCE results, many applicants for the 2024/2025 academic year who applied with awaiting results have been inquiring at our front desk about the status of their admissions, citing a lack of communication from PRINCOF since their application.

Well, this article aims to clarify the situation and provide enlightenment for those still wondering.

The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) began releasing admission letters (notices) to successful applicants on October 7th, 2024.

This process continued until November 5th, 2024, when the final lists were released by the various colleges.

Due to the admission quota imposed on colleges of education by the government, which limit the number of applicants they can admit due to infrastructure deficits, not many applicants were admitted.

Initially, successful applicants (freshers) were to report to their respective colleges on November 18th, 2024, to commence their academic activities.

However, PRINCOF postponed the reopening date to January 13th, 2025 due to unforseen circumstances.

There were rumours suggesting that one of the reasons for the postponement was to wait for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to release the results of students who applied with awaiting results, this has turned to be false.

This is because PRINCOF has not made any official statement to that effect.

Currently, colleges of education have finalized their admissions and are preparing for the reopening of schools on January 13th, 2025.

Applicants who did not gain admission are advised to be cautious of scammers on social media and various platforms claiming they can assist with admission; these claims are false and will result in the loss of your money.

We encourage unsuccessful applicants to hold their peace and reapply next year when the portals open in March 2025. Stay vigilant and informed.
