The University of Ghana (UG) has issued an important notice to all prospective students who have applied for the 2024/2025 academic year, following the release of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.
The University’s Academic Affairs Directorate has urged applicants to immediately log in to the UG admissions portal to verify the accuracy of their submitted information.
Specifically, applicants are instructed to meticulously review their full names, dates of birth, and examination records, including their index number, exam month, and exam year.

This step is to ensure that all submitted data is correct as it will be used for the admissions process.
Additionally, the university has advised applicants to consult the 2023/2024 entry cut-off aggregates for various programs, available on the University’s admissions website HERE
By doing so, applicants can make informed and realistic choices regarding their programme preferences for the upcoming academic year.
The notice also emphasized that applications for the 2024/2025 academic year remain open.

Interested individuals can still purchase e-vouchers at designated banks or via the USSD code *887*9# across all mobile telecommunication networks.
The University has set a strict deadline for the application portal closure, which will occur at midnight on Friday, January 3, 2024.
Prospective students are, therefore, strongly encouraged to complete all necessary steps and verifications before this deadline to avoid missing out on the opportunity to be considered for admission.
