The University of Ghana (UG) has officially launched its 2025 Self-Placement Portal, now live and ready for students who missed admission.

According to the university, students who met the minimum qualifications for their chosen programs but were not granted admission can now use the self-placement module available on the admission portal.

In a recent post, the admission office disclosed that the self-placement option is now available for qualified students who did not gain admission.

Students who want to take advantage of this opportunity can now log in to the application portal to participate.

How to do University of Ghana Self-Placement:

  • Select a Suitable Program: Go to the section or link related to “Self-Placement” or “Program Selection” to view all the programs for which you meet the qualification criteria. Choose a program that matches your academic qualifications and interests.
  • Self-Place in the Chosen Program: Confirm your choice to apply for self-placement into that program. You might receive a confirmation message or email notifying you of your successful self-placement.
  • Complete Admission Processes: Complete all other admission processes on and off campus (online) as per the UG admission procedures.

This self-placement module marks a historic first in university admissions in Ghana. It allows the University of Ghana to admit more qualified students into undersubscribed programs that match their admission qualifications.
