The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has taken steps to engage with the National Teaching Council (NTC) regarding the GTLE Pass mark.
TTAG has made a request to NTC to reduce the pass mark required for teacher licensure exams, from the current 70% to 50%.
In a press release dated July 28, 2023, TTAG expressed how the association has successfully fought for an extension of the GTLE registration deadline from July 31st, 2023, to August 7th, 2023, which the NTC gladly accepted.
According to TTAG, the purpose of seeking this extension is to accommodate individuals who have been unable to meet the initial registration deadline.
The association believes this additional time will allow those affected to reorganize themselves and register accordingly, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Moreover, TTAG is hopeful that the NTC will critically reevaluate the pass mark issue, taking into consideration the concerns put forth by the association.
