The Accra Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Atta Boadi Senior, a 40-year-old teacher, who is facing charges of forging documents to secure a promotion.
Boadi, currently holding the position of Senior Superintendent II at the Subrisu District Assembly Primary School in the Eastern region, is accused of submitting a forged letter to the Ghana Education Service (GES) Headquarters in an attempt to falsely claim promotion to the rank of Assistant Director II.

According to the reports, Boadi submitted the forged letter to the GES Headquarters on July 31, 2023. The letter, which claimed his promotion, was received by Mr. Alex Dankwa, an official at the GES.
However, upon careful examination, Dankwa discovered that the letter was a forgery.
The incident took a surprising turn on August 1, 2023, when Boadi visited the GES Headquarters to inquire about his promotion.
When questioned about the authenticity of the letter, Boadi immediately fled the scene.

The police were later able to apprehend him, and the forged letter was confiscated as evidence.
Further investigations by the police revealed that the GES had conducted a thorough process for promotions, including compiling a list of eligible teachers, subjecting them to an examination, and formally notifying those who passed.
Boadi, however, was not included in the list of eligible teachers and had not followed the proper procedures for advancement.
As a result, Boadi is now scheduled to appear in court on September 18, 2023, before Mr. Isaac Oheneba-Kuffour.
