A second year student at Nkwatia Presby Senior High School identified as Diana has allegedly been slapped and beaten by their assistant headmaster in charge of academics for leaving school grounds without permission (exeat).
According to a video and story shared by Speaker Nana Fianko, it was revealed that the student had actually obtained exeat permission before leaving the school premises.
Speaker Nana Fianko added that the School authorities have been attempting to cover up the incident, refusing to take appropriate action against the responsible staff member.

Nana Fianko shared that the assault took place on August 14th, 2023, and due to the severity of the student’s injuries, school authorities have now been forced to release her to receive medical treatment at home.
As a result of the assault, the student’s eye has been reported severely affected, further highlighting the gravity of the situation.
Nana Fianko has called on the Ghana Police Service at Nkwatia to take action and arrest the Assistant Headmaster responsible for the alleged assault.

He has also urged the school authorities to take responsibility for their actions and provide adequate support to the victim and her family.
