The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the reopening date for SHS/SHST1 semester 2 students.
In a press release issued by the GES, it states that the revised reopening date for these students is September 27, 2024.
This reopening date specifically applies to all students in Transition Schools.
They are expected to return to school on September 27 and continue their studies until they vacate on December 5, 2024.

However, it is important to note that this reopening date does not apply to the 2024 BECE graduates who are awaiting their results and school placements for enrollment.
The GES has yet to announce a new date for the reopening of new SHS 1 or SHST students.
The 2024 BECE script marking has already commenced as of September 17, 2024, and is expected to be completed by October 11, 2024.

The exact date for the release of the 2024 BECE results and school placement for SHS 1 students is yet to be confirmed by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), GES, and the Free SHS Secretariat.
Heads of schools have been instructed to note that all other activities, programs, and arrangements for the semester remain unchanged.
