The National President of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG), Jephthah Nana Kwame, has revealed that plans are well underway for the payment of the arrears of the teacher trainees’ allowances.
In his New Year message to trainees, Nana Kwame noted that plans are far advanced and the payment of the allowances could be made anytime soon.
“Obviously, trainees have been eagerly waiting for their allowance to be paid. I must say that plans are far advanced for the payment to be done anytime soon,” he stated.

Nana Kwame expressed his gratitude to all trainees and stakeholders for their support and dedication in the past year.
He acknowledged the challenges faced in 2023 but highlighted the progress made by the association in addressing issues affecting trainees in the 46 colleges of education.
While acknowledging there are still challenges to tackle, Nana Kwame assured trainees that the association would not relent in its efforts to improve the conditions for all trainees.

He called on trainees to stand united and maintain their patience, conveying the message that their perseverance would yield positive outcomes.
Furthermore, he appealed for massive support from trainees throughout the year;
“We continue to seek your indulgence and support in all our endeavors, for we are better together and we take this bold step forward together,” he concluded.
