Office of the Vice President Requests Meeting with National Officers of CETAG and PRINCOF

The Office of the Vice President of Ghana has expressed interest in meeting with the National Officers of the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) and the Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education, Ghana (PRINCOF) on Thursday, 15th August, 2024.

In a short notice sighted by Coleman Publications, the Vice President’s office stated that they would like to discuss matters pertaining to the ongoing industrial action by CETAG.

To ensure a comprehensive representation in accordance with established structures, the Leadership of CETAG has requested the Vice President’s office to extend the invitation to the National Executive Committee (NEC) members of the union.

The leadership has also requested an official letter from the Office of the Vice President regarding the meeting.

CETAG has been on strike since June 14, calling for the full implementation of their National Labour Commission (NLC) Arbitration Awards.

The strike has impacted the smooth functioning of colleges of education across the country.

It is hoped that this meeting presents an opportunity for dialogue and potential resolution to the ongoing strike.
