The National Teaching Council (NTC) is set to commence license inspections in second-cycle institutions across selected regions in Ghana in March and April 2024.

This initiative is in line with the Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020, Act 1023, which empowers the NTC to uphold standards in the teaching profession.

The NTC will be focusing its compliance checks on schools in the Greater Accra, Eastern, Volta, Central, and Western Regions.

To facilitate this process, all Heads of Second Cycle Institutions, both public and private, in the specified regions are required to submit data on all teachers in their schools by February 29, 2024.

Compliance Officers will be visiting the institutions during the inspection period to ensure adherence to the National Teachers’ Standards (NTS) developed by the Council.

Heads of institutions are urged to cooperate and provide the necessary information to support this crucial exercise.
