The 75th anniversary celebration of the Komenda College of Education was a momentous occasion for both the institution and the community at large.

The event, held on March 11, 2023, was a culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance by the college and its stakeholders.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the recognition of the Debaters Club for their outstanding performance in debates, both within and outside the college.

The Debaters Club has been a source of pride for the college, consistently showcasing the intellectual prowess and public speaking skills of its members.

The club’s success over the years has been remarkable, but it was in 2022 that they truly showed. The club emerged as champions in both the Southern Zone and inter-zonal stages of the first edition of the Insurance Debate Championship, organized by the Insurance Brokers Association of Ghana.

The victory was a testament to the club’s dedication and the excellent mentoring provided by the college.

Among the key contributors to the club’s victory were Mr. Michael Assabil and Ms. Constance Tawiah, who represented the club at the championship.

Their outstanding performance in the debates earned them the title of Best Debaters, which they were awarded at the 75th anniversary grand durbar.

Their hard work and dedication in preparing for the competition, as well as their excellent delivery and persuasive arguments during the debates, were instrumental in the club’s overall success.
