The Faculty of Educational Studies (FES) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has announced an increase in examination fees for students at affiliate colleges of education for the 2024/2025 academic year.
In a letter addressed to principals of affiliate colleges, the FES outlined that the new examination fee will be Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHC500.00) per student per semester.
The letter states that this increase was decided upon at the last Faculty Board Meeting, held on September 2, 2024.

The letter also clarified that final-year students on internship will also be required to pay the GHC500.00 fee in the first semester.
Fifty percent of this fee will be allocated towards the cost of graduation certificates and souvenirs.
The FES has requested the understanding and cooperation of college principals regarding this adjustment in examination fees.

It should also be noted that this increase in examination fees, from the initial GHC 460.00 to GHC 500.00, is not limited to KNUST and its affiliated colleges, but has been implemented by all mentoring universities.
Trainees are urged to take note of this increment and prepare accordingly.
