Many aspiring teachers are experiencing frustration after paying for their NTC indexing and not receiving their index number via SMS.
Don’t worry, this article serves as a comprehensive guide for those who haven’t received their index number via SMS within 24 hours.
Here’s a step-by-step process after payment:
1. Kindly visit the NTC Indexing portal at https://indexing.ntc.gov.gh/
2. Select “Retrieve Indexing Number”: Look for this option on the website.
3. Input Your Details:
- Option 1: Enter your surname and college index number.
- Option 2: Use the transaction ID from your mobile money payment or the reference number from your Prudential bank receipt.
4. Troubleshooting:
- “Payment has not reflected”: This means the system hasn’t yet processed your payment. Be patient and wait.
- “Wrong index number or surname”: Your payment has been processed, but the indexing message may have been sent to the wrong number. Double-check your surname and index number and try again. If you have three names, try different combinations as your surname and middle name might have been combined in the system.
