The registration portal for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) in September 2024 has been opened.

Who Can Register:

• Resit Candidates: Individuals who previously sat for the Subject Based GTLE and need to retake the exam.

New Candidates: Individuals with a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree who are taking the GTLE for the first time.

However, it is important to note that candidates must have received their NTC (National Teaching Council) Indexing Number before purchasing a GTLE voucher for new registration.

This is crucial as candidates who are not indexed will not be allowed to sit for the licensure examination.

After Payment:

Upon successful payment, an SMS will be sent containing the indexing number.

In the event that the SMS is not received, candidates can utilize the transaction number indicated on the payment receipt.

Verify and Update Details:

To verify and update personal details, candidates should visit https://indexing.ntc.gov.gh using the indexing number received.

NOTE: However, it is important to be aware that the MOMO option may not work in some instances. In such cases, the bank option should be used instead.

Lastly, it is advised to keep the indexing number safe as it will be necessary for the next step – the  GTLE main registration at https://exams.ntc.gov.gh/
