Mr. David Prah, the Director General of the Ghana Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Service, has officially resigned from his position, concluding a remarkable chapter of leadership and reform within the institution.
His departure marks the end of a tenure characterized by significant strides in skills development and the modernization of Ghana’s TVET sector.
Appointed to the role in 2024, Mr. Prah has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at revitalizing technical and vocational education in Ghana.
Under his leadership, the Ghana TVET Service witnessed substantial improvements in institutional capacity, staff development, and public perception of the sector. His efforts were pivotal in positioning TVET as a cornerstone of national development and youth empowerment.
Among his notable achievements were the implementation of leadership training programs for Regional TVET Directors, the upgrading of infrastructure across TVET institutions, and the establishment of strategic partnerships with organizations such as T-TEL, Ho Technical University, and other development partners.
These collaborations were instrumental in driving innovation and inclusivity within the sector.
