The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the restoration of its recruitment portal, https://gespromotions.gov.gh/, with a new self-posting module for College of Education (CoE) graduates.
The portal was temporarily taken offline for upgrades to incorporate this new feature.
The self-posting module, introduced earlier this year, allows newly trained teachers to select their preferred region, district, and school for their postings.
This replaces the previous system where postings were solely determined by the GES.

Dr. Eric Nkansah, Director-General of the GES has emphasized that any applicant who does not complete the steps online will not be validated.
Here’s how to participate in the self-posting process:
1. Visit the https://gespromotions.gov.gh/ portal.
2. Enter your College Index Number to verify your qualifications.
3. Provide your accurate phone number and NTC number.
4. Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your phone number.
5. Select your preferred Region, District, and School.
6. Submit your application.
7. Save and print your Appointment Letter.

The GES has encouraged all newly trained teachers to familiarize themselves with the new self-posting module and complete the online process to ensure their successful placement within the education system.
