In accordance with the constitutional regulation for all Ghanaian citizens to exercise their franchise, the Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has granted form two (2) students who are eighteen (18) years and above the permission to go home and register for their voter ID.
This decision is aimed at ensuring that all eligible students are given the opportunity to participate in the upcoming elections and have their voices heard.
The form two (2) students are granted three (3) days effective Friday, 22nd to Sunday, 24th September, 2023, to enable them to travel home and register for their voter ID.

This period has been carefully selected to ensure that it does not interfere with their academic activities.
In a letter addressed to the Regional Directors of Education, the GES requested that they communicate this decision to all Heads of Second Cycle schools in their respective regions.
They emphasized the importance of this exercise and urged all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity to register for their voter ID.
The GES has also called on parents and guardians to support their children in this exercise by ensuring that they travel safely and return to school on time.

GES also assured parents and guardians that all necessary measures have been put in place to ensure the safety and security of their children during this period.
