The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a directive for all Second Cycle Schools, comprising Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical Schools (SHTS), to close on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
This closure is to facilitate staff and eligible students to exercise their constitutional right to vote in the forthcoming general elections on December 7.
In an official communication, the GES extended its warm regards to all staff and students, emphasizing the importance of participating in the democratic process.

The directive mandates Regional Directors to ensure strict compliance by the Heads of Second Cycle Schools, enabling staff and students to travel to their respective constituencies to cast their votes.
