The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the examination dates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), 2024 for School Candidates (SC).
According to a letter dated February 5, 2024 by the GES, the exam schedules are as follows:
- BECE (SC): July 8-12, 2024
- WASSCE (SC): July 1-August 31, 2024

The GES also noted that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will provide detailed information regarding the registration of candidates for the examinations to the heads of schools in the coming weeks.

Regional Directors of Education were instructed to disseminate this vital information to Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education for onward communication to all Heads of Basic and Senior High Schools.
The directive also emphasized the need for schools to adequately prepare their candidates for the upcoming examinations.

The GES in conclusion called for the usual cooperation of all stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful conduct of the BECE and WASSCE examinations for the school year 2024.
