The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has disclosed the formation of a 19-member committee to oversee the migration of teaching and non-teaching staff of the Colleges of Education onto the Public Universities Grade Structure.
This move comes as part of the FWSC’s ongoing efforts to implement the National Labour Commission’s Compulsory Arbitration Awards issued on 2nd May, 2023.
The commission also emphasized the “national importance and urgency” of the exercise.

The committee, which will be responsible for implementing the migration process, is comprised of representatives from key stakeholders, including:

The FWSC requested the nominations for the committee members to be submitted on Monday, July 15th, 2024.

However, the FWSC has not yet announced a specific timeline for the migration process, but has assured all stakeholders of their commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent transition.
