Bia Lamplighter College of Education has welcomed 220 new Students for the 2023/2024 academic year.
This limited number of students admitted for the academic year was due to the government’s admission quota regulations for the colleges of education.

During the 8th matriculation ceremony held on February 26, 2024, these students were officially inducted into the college community, where they were introduced to the rights, privileges, and responsibilities associated with their respective departments and halls of residence.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Samuel Agyemang, the principal of the college, underlined the significance of academic achievement and urged the matriculants to prioritize their studies.

He again emphasized that academic performance plays a crucial role in shaping their future success and encouraged them to set goals and strive for excellence.
Furthermore, Dr. Agyemang addressed the importance of responsible campus living, stressing the need for the matriculants to adhere to the rules and regulations governing the college.

He highlighted the value of maintaining cleanliness, respecting privacy, and creating a conducive learning environment by the them being mindful of their noise levels.
The principal also encouraged the matriculants to engage in co-curricular activities alongside their academic pursuits.

He suggested that participation in sports, clubs, societies, or volunteering would equip them with essential life skills such as leadership, teamwork, time management, and communication.
