The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has issued a notice of intention to resort to another indefinite strike action following the Government’s continuous violation of their signed agreements.
This decision was made at an Emergency National Council meeting held on Wednesday, 25 September 2024.
Despite calling off their previous strike action in August 2024 based on appeals from government officials, CETAG has expressed dissatisfaction with the Government’s failure to fulfill the agreements reached on issues such as delays in verifying migration data, issuing new appointment letters, and paying compensation for work done in 2022.

This action would be taken pursuant to Section 159 of the Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651).
CETAG emphasized that they will not tolerate further excuses or violations of the agreements.
