Accra College of Education has launched an initiative to promote the learning and teaching of Ga-Dangme languages among young people in the region.

The college has allocated 20 admission slots for students specifically from the Ga-Dangme community to pursue a four-year Bachelor of Education degree in Ga-Dangme languages for the 2023/2024 academic year.

To support this initiative, the group called Advocates for Ga-Dangme Languages has pledged to provide scholarships for the 20 students. This move is in line with their advocacy to promote the education of the Ga-Dangme child to the highest level possible.

In a press release that was made on the 8th of May, 2023 by the college, the management announced the decision that was taken two years ago to promote the teaching and learning of Ga-Dangme in their institution.

The management sees this as their corporate social responsibility to support the Ga-Dangme community by promoting their languages and cultures.
